Jack Bennett | Webmaster

BMus (Hons), FASC, MISM

I've been involved with church life since I was at primary school, first as a member of the Saturday Club at St Margaret's, before later joining the Youth Choir in 2001. Since then I've assisted at holiday clubs, attended Youth Alpha courses, deputised as organist and choir trainer at both churches, and generally helped wherever I've felt able. In 2006 I was Confirmed by the then Bishop of Rochester, Michael Nazir-Ali, and local village life has always played a significant part in my upbringing.

I am now a full-time freelance music professional, working extensively as a musical director, pianist, conductor, arranger and teacher. Having graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London in 2014, I am very fortunate in enjoying a varied career that takes me from theatres to churches, schools to concert halls, recording studios and beyond. Visit jackwbmusic.com for more information.

My key areas of interest span musical theatre, church music and music education, and in addition to working as a pianist and accompanist, I currently teach piano and music theory at St Michael's Prep School in Otford. I also play the clarinet, flute and saxophone, and was Organ Scholar to Professor Lionel Pike for three years during my degree.

Aside from music, I've always had a keen interest in technology and so enjoy looking after the website for our two churches.
