Tina Bennett | Youth Leader

Tina BennettI moved to the parish with my husband Tony and my six-month-old baby Jack back in 1993 and soon became a part of the congregation at St Margaret's, eventually joining the church choir, something I still enjoy today.

Having studied for a teaching degree at Froebel Institute after leaving school, once both my children moved onto secondary school, I returned into the field of education and currently enjoy my role working at St Katharine's Primary School, Knockholt as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, something I find incredibly rewarding. Working with children is my passion, particularly in the field of performance. I taught dance for 15 years, enjoy drama and singing and am often involved with school productions - something I love.

I support Children of Gambia Services, a locally based charity and visit The Gambia every year to help work on a project based in the village of Jabang, looking after the health and educational needs of young children. In my spare time I am a keen yoga student and supporter of Fulham Football Club, but I like to support the church when I can, whether it be taking my role as Youth Leader on PCC, helping to organise fundraising events, taking a role in church services, distributing the Parish Magazine or taking my turn on the church cleaning rota!
