Christianity Explored & Alpha

Alpha is an opportunity to explore life and the Christian faith, in a friendly, open and informal environment.

From time to time we run Alpha courses, which have proven to be an excellent way in which people can explore just what the Christian faith is all about. It is relaxed, low-key, friendly and fun. We have run courses in the daytime and in the evening and many people from our two parishes have now completed Alpha. There is often some sort of sharing of food, and we meet in homes where we can feel comfortable and get to know each other.

Alpha courses consist of a series of talks looking at topics such as:

  • Who is Jesus and why did He die?
  • What is the Holy Spirit?
  • Why and how should I read the Bible?
  • How can I make the most of the rest of my life?
  • Does God heal today?

  • Is there more to life than this?

There is no charge, although you may be asked to make a contribution towards food. So why not try out an Alpha course? All we say is come along for one session and see what you make of it. If you are interested and want to know when the next course is taking place then contact the Rector.

We have also run Youth Alpha courses in the past for young people in the parishes. If you fit that category and would like to find out more, again, please contact the Rector.
